infection or inflammation of hair root or follicle is known as boil. 

CAUSE 

1) staphylococcus 

2) streptococcus

CLINICAL FEATURE

   • Redness 

   • hotness 

   • swelling

   • pain,fever 

   • pus point around hair follicle

   • shiny skin

   • itching 

   • tenderness 

INVESTIGATION 

• RBS 

• CBC 

• USG 

• urine R/E

TREATMENT 

- general treatment

    • Good appetite 

    • bed rest 

    • rest affected part 

    • personal hygiene maintain

    

- symptomatic treatment

    • pain - ibuprofen 

    • fever - paracetamol 

- specific treatment 

     • Antibiotics like cloxacillin .

     • I/D 

RISK FACTOR 

- spontaneous burst of boil 

- lack of personal hygiene
