It is define as the necrosis of subcutaneous tissue due to the staphylococcus aureus.
CAUSE
1) staphylococcus
CLINICAL FEATURE
• Redness
• hotness
• swelling
• pain,fever
• multiple pus point can be seen
• tenderness
• regional L/N
INVESTIGATION
• Blood c/s
• pus c/s
• USG
• pus culture and sensitivity
SITE
• Nape of the neck
• shoulder
• back of the body
• buttock
TREATMENT
- general treatment
• Good appetite
• bed rest
• protein diet
- symptomatic treatment
• pain - Diclofenac or analgesic
• fever - paracetamol
- specific treatment
• I/D
